Course Info
This challenging course is a single 5k loop, with a nice mix of beautiful single track, and groomed nordic trails, meandering through the Vermont woods. The course is very well marked and easy to follow. Maps and elevation profile will be available shortly. The course will have approximately 600 feet of vertical gain.
Snowshoe Size
* Snowshoes must have at least 120 square inches of FUNCTIONAL SURFACE AREA. Most adult model shoes meet these criteria. But children’s shoes do not.
Loaner Shoes Available
A limited number of loaner (racing model) snowshoes will be provided by Dion Snowshoes. There is a $5 rental fee payable the day of the race. Email Bob Dion at dion@bcn.net to reserve a pair of shoes.
Snow Conditions
As of February 8th, 2017 there is a very solid base of 9″ to 26″, covered in 4″ of new dense granular snow.
